Feeding Frenzy

My friend Linda lives in Maine. Belgrade, Maine. Snowy Maine. Very cold Maine.

Thought I'd show you what her backyard looked like on Friday. At 6:30 in the morning. And I thought I'd show you who was demanding her attention that early in the morning.

And this is what happens after she gives in, gets up and feeds her crowd. At 6:30 in the morning.

In Linda's words:

They all make a space around a big rubber bowl. One comes up for air, and the feeding frenzy rotates in a fast chewing circle.

And then Friday passed. But the snow didn't. Just got word today that the snow has gotten just a wee bit higher. Check it out...

Same horse. Same snow... Just a little more of it.

I'm freezing just looking at this. It's her backyard steps... minus the steps... leading out to the animals.

And this is where she keeps her husband. Out in the yard. He's that red spec on that black spec of a tractor.

Linda calls this one "Snow Plow TV". These little guys are getting quite a show.

Now that's some snow! It shames Frisco's snow. Which we don't even have right now in Frisco.

I'm learning to appreciate my 75 degree weather here in Frisco. Okay, so I ALWAYS appreciate 75 degree weather... and I'm also loving the flip flops that I wore to work today.

Sorry, Linda. I just had to throw that last line in. I'm sure you wore your flip flops today, too.
