I cooked!!!

I created a masterpiece tonight. A true masterpiece.

As we are in the throws of packing, our pantry is getting thinned out. There are a lot of things in our pantry and a lot of things in there that I didn't even know we had. I certainly don't remember buying all that. Maybe we brought it all with us from California. I don't know.

Upon packing, I found a can of pizza sauce. I don't ever recall buying pizza sauce. Ever. I mean, don't pizzas get delivered to your door? In 30 minutes or less? So why the heck would I buy pizza sauce.

But there it was. In all it's glory. So I headed to the store to pick up some pepperoni, some mozzarella cheese and some pizza dough. You know, the kind in a can... 'cuz for the life of me, I couldn't figure out any other way to create that.

Then I found my cookie sheet, spread out that dough, globbed on the sauce, layered the pepperonis in a glorious fashion and even threw on some pineapple slices I had. Oh, this pizza was a sight to behold.

And into the oven it went.

And as I learned in Girl Scouts, clean up is just as important as the actual meal itself. And so I cleaned. Yes, I cleaned up. And I was that surprised when I saw the cheese still sitting on my counter.

I threw open that oven door with speed I didn't know I had... and frantically tossed mozzarella cheese onto my creation. I tossed and tossed and tossed. It really was a lovely sight.

And we would have had a mighty fine dinner tonight... if only I had thought to turn on the regular oven intead of the microwave.

That pizza might've actually gotten cooked...
