My daughter heads home from Ecuador tomorrow and I find myself shaking my head and saying, "NINE DAYS HAVE PASSED ALREADY???"
But I did text her and ask if she had a good time and if she was sorry to be coming home tomorrow.
I got this as a reply:
"Actually we're goodbying today. I have fallen in love with our translators and they're leaving after lunch. Words cannot describe how deep and meaningful a relationship you can forge within 7 days."
Then she said:
"Descubri que me comida favorita es aguacate he decidido no comer mas comida americana y escuchare musica en espanol desde ahora."
As near as I can figure, we're going to be eating a lot of tacos with avocado from now on and listening only to mariachi music.
Oy vey. That's spanish for, when does she return to school?
