It's been one of those days...
Just sitting on the couch with Rick, curled up, and eating our dinner with White Christmas playing on our the TV.
Most of America was saddened by the events of the day ... the Columbine-type shooting in Connecticut.
But something even closer to home has got me all twisted up. My dear friend Monica was just diagnosed with breast cancer on Wednesday and rushed into surgery today. She'll begin 6 months of Chemo in January, followed by radiation.
This comes on the heels of her wonderful mother's diagnosis of uterine cancer which led her to her first cancer treatment just a week ago.
Life is so odd.
Odd, mixed up, crazy and sweet. My daughter will be home from Arizona on Wednesday and I can't wait. I need her face to brighten up my world.
