Landlords

The Kahles have finally found something that interests us. We've been looking and looking and have actually found three properties that got me a little excited. Two townhouses and 1 real house. Oh, we aren't interested in all three, it's just that three made it onto my list of possibilities.

And two days ago we settled on a townhouse in a neighborhood only about three blocks from us. That's a big plus.

Here's what we have put an offer on... a three bedroom, 2.5 bath townhome with a 2 car garage:

Cute kitchen, eh?

It even has one of these...
But then, so does the house I currently live in. Me.

It has one of these, too. But just a little one.

And it's across the street from a greenbelt...

Was our first offer accepted? Of course not. But the owner countered. And we have countered back and that's where we stand.

And once I'd put all the numbers together I was amazed at how the figures all turned out. Is this a 'get rich quick' scheme? Hardly. This ain't even a 'get rich slow' proposition...

But I can be a landlord now... a poor one, but a landlord none the less.

And until it's rented? You're all invited over! Stay a week... a month... a lifetime. Heck, just stop by and have dinner with us. The door is always open!

And bring a paintbrush. There's a few walls that need touching up.
