When Fort Worth closed all of its schools for a week because of ONE case of the swine flu, I thought they were overreacting. But secretly I was disappointed that it wasn't my city and my district closing my schools.
HOWEVER, when one case of swine flu was found in my district I suddenly did not think the district was overreacting WHEN THEY CLOSED ALL OF OUR SCHOOLS TODAY!
Heck, no! That's the best news I've heard all week! All month! ALL YEAR!
And I'm sure you could've heard all the cheering, whooping, screaming and hollering all the way to California. Most of it was done by me. I was in the hallway leading the victory dance. Never mind that I was on crutches. I can still dance when crutched.
I HAVE A WEEK OFF!
What a time to have a ruined foot.
