Happy Birthday Elizabeth Courtney Kahle!

Twenty years ago today I got a gentle nudging that my little baby girl wanted to be born.  It was oh so gentle and delicate.  Just a little tickle in my tummy.

Sure it was.

It was NINETEEN HOURS of AWFUL LABOR ... that didn't even go well.  Said baby girl refused to come out, especially after her shoulder got stuck on my pelvic bone.  Stupid pelvic bone.  And after NINETEEN HOURS of HARD LABOR ... I then had to have a C-SECTION.  Yes, she caused me a scar that I still have today.  Lucky me!

Anyway, now that I've lamented... I was awfully glad to have that cute little bubbly package after all was said and done.  Yes, I was.

And we celebrated her 20th birthday today.  And tonight.  We all went out to dinner and steaked it up.

And then ... as we were figuring out that she's not even officially 20 until 10:34 PM, Liz proudly announced that today wasn't even her birthday!  Because she was born in California ... and in California when 10:34 PM arrived, it would already be tomorrow in Texas.  So ...

... Liz feels that it's only fitting that we also celebrate her birthday tomorrow.

She said it was only fair ... since she really hasn't even been born yet ... in Texas.

You know what I said?  AFTER NINETEEN HOURS OF HARD AND AWFUL LABOR, YOU WILL CELEBRATE YOUR BIRTHDAY WHEN I TELL YOU YOU WILL!  And that would be now.

Happy Birthday Baby Gir...
