snippets and clippets

Looking back, I have to say that we did have a good vacation in Tucson.  We were unable to see the Grand Canyon nor tackle many of the little side trips that we had so wanted to take, but Elizabeth was the perfect hostess and took us on some local trips, showing us her town.

First up:

Cacti.  Lots and lots of cacti.

Liz also threw us a party!

We did feel like celebrities.

Elizabeth was the perfect hostess...

... and we got to meet a lot of her friends.  This girl is not hurting for friends, either.

There was an abundance of food...

I have to admit, though, that this was my favorite.  A gluten free, Texas-sized cake.  All Texas-upped and everything, too.  Courtesy of Elizabeth's friend Jonathan.  They don't get much cuter than this.

 This comes close, though...

Meet Misty.  This is her driver's license.  Please note when her driver's license expires.

2046

My driver's license isn't good for quite that long.  Or even close to that long.  Heck, I darn near lost it just driving home from Tucson.  Twice.

Check back tomorrow...  I've got three classic photos to show ya.  Humbling photos.  I hope you'll like them.
