Hippity Hoppity

Having gotten sick, this is all that could bring a smile to my face on Easter...

That is not a real chocolate bunny, it's only a decoration that I found at the Cracker Barrel gift shop and just had to have.  It reminds me of the Easter basket that my mother always prepared for me on Easter morning when I was a child.  Yes, my basket looked just like that one (I wonder whatever happened to it...) and the chocolate bunny was never left in the box, but was always sitting atop all of the other jelly beans and malted milk ball eggs.  This so reminded me of those days.

And when I awoke on Sunday morning and knew that I was not going to be able to make it to church, I was sad.  I haven't missed going to church on Easter morning in 55 years.

And then, just when I thought all was lost...

...the Easter Bunny came to me!!!

That's momma and baby.  Fuzzy, I know, but I had to sneak this picture.  Momma is up top.

Here's ol' Peter Cottontail himself!

Perhaps a better view?

And now a close up.  Peter paused long enough for my photo shoot before scampering away, off to find the best jelly beans before I did.

I hope everyone had/has a wonderful Easter, celebrating our risen Lord.  Although I was sad that I was not able to attend our church service and wear my new Easter attire (that's what it's really about, right?) I was reminded by a friend that whenever two or more are gathered in His name, He is there also.

Happy Easter!
