have i reached the party to whom i am speaking?

I received the funniest text message this morning.  Here it is:

My phones been dead I'm gonna get some clothes then go to my grandmas to stay there since I have to be up early for the ultra sound.

I didn't know what to say to that.  But, of course, I managed to find something ... I apologized to the person.  Yes, I did.  I said: 

I'm sorry I didn't make it to your ultra sound with you ... but honestly, I just had to get my hair washed.  If you can find it in your heart to forgive me, I'll go with you to your next appointment instead.  How many months along are you anyway?

Yes, I was expecting the silent treatment that followed.  I'm guessing that my texter didn't appreciate my sense of humor.  Either that, or they really are trying to work out a date for us to get together.  I'll keep you posted.  I'm dying to know who the father is.  Or the mother.  Couldn't tell from the text.
