'Twas the evening of Christmas and all over the floor
was ribbons and wrappings and paper galore.
We all felt so happy and extremely blessed
and especially grateful not to have to get dressed.
The stockings still hung on the chimney with care
still filled with candy from when Santa was there.
The fridge overstuffed with tons of good food
and memories made that brightened our moods.
We toured the city and viewed all the lights
yes, still in our pjs, oh we were a sight.
But we had a great day, yes our Christmas was bright ...
