seasonal tv

Rick insisted we watch "Miracle on 34th Street" tonight.   I can't stand that movie.

Yesterday Rick insisted we watch "White Christmas."  I can't stand that movie.

This morning I heard "Frosty the Snowman" on the radio.  I can't stand that song.

You'd think I didn't like Christmas, wouldn't you?  But you'd be wrong.  I just can't stand songs about melting snowmen ... nor anything that isn't truly Christmassy and uplifting.  Kris Kringle gets a bad rap and, well, White Christmas?  They don't even like each other in that movie.  It's also barely Christmassy.

Know what movie I do like this time of year?  "In The Good Ol' Summertime."  Yep.  Yep, I do.  Best Christmas movie around ... if you can ignore the title.  99.9 % of that movie takes place at Christmas.  Go figure.

Tomorrow's fare is "It's a Wonderful Life."

I can't stand that movie ...
