Relaxing in DC

Sunday morning and it's a lazy, lovely day here.

Room Service. YEA! Since our silly hotel doesn't have a restaurant and there are no coffee shops nor fast food places around, room service it was. I'm not normally a fan of room service (I hate eating in my hotel room, in my jammies and sitting on the edge of the bed) but it was a welcome treat today.

Heading out today to show Rick some of the sights that DC has to offer. If I can find them all! I've been here several times but Rick hasn't. My first time was when I was 19 and I travelled the East Coast with some college friends.

Funny, but I was very ready to do that at 19. My daughter, who's 19, is not ready. 'Cuz I'd be scared to death if she did that. Yet she's MUCH more mature than I ever was at that age. Hmmmm, I'll have to rethink my decision.

Anyway, we're taking in the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, White House, the Capitol and, if I can find it, the Vietnam Memorial.

My feet are aching already...
