As I got ready to leave work tonight to head home to begin packing, I received a frantic call from Rick.
"We have an emergency!"
"What???"
"Our dryer went out!!!"
Really, Rick? THAT'S our emergency? And then, as I thought about it, that really was a problem... I HADN'T DONE MY LAUNDRY YET!
But Rick calmed my fears and told me that a repairman was on the way. So, it never really was an emergency at all... until now. It's 10:00 pm and I still haven't done my laundry.
Sigh.
But there was worse news... I had taken my favorite black shoes to the shoe repair about a week ago... AND FORGOTTEN TO PICK THEM UP!!! Yes, there are now closed.
Great.
I'm headed on a trip... with no shoes... and no clean clothes.
But it didn't really matter... because I hadn't packed anyway. I'm thinking I better just stay home.
You think I can just phone in my interview on Tuesday?
Please?
