sleepless in seattle ...

I had a fun weekend.  See if you can figure out what I did ...

I found a treasure!!  No, not really.  Keep on guessing, though.

It should be becoming clearer.

Aha!  There it is!!

Nah, just kidding.  Actually, I had just had it with my 'Sleep Number' Bed.  Only one year old but it's given us 365 days worth of trouble.  Rick couldn't sleep on it due to his back surgery last year but I did my best.  If I was going to pay THAT much for a bed, I was determined to make it work.  But I was not successful, either.  Oh, I slept on it but I was painfully aware that if I ever rolled over or got too near the edge, I was going to regret it the next day.  And I did.

So what the heck do the above pictures show?  Well, over the weekend I bought us a new mattress.  Been talking about it for a full year and I finally did something about it.  The Simmons BeautyRest arrived Sunday morning and to avoid a $160 fee to have the Sleep Number bed moved to our guest room, Elizabeth and I dismantled and moved the dang thing ourselves.  Who knew that a Sleep Number bed could be or would be SO complicated??

But it was.

It took me an hour to take the thing apart.  It took me three to put it back together in another room.

And you know what?  I'm tired.

New mattress?  I'm tired.  Believe it or not ... one night on the new mattress and I must miss my old one.  'Cuz I'm tired.

Or ... could it just be that I fell asleep while curling my hair?

Nah, I probably just forgot to plug the curling iron in.

;)
