This may be hard to see ... but I feel compelled to post it.  

Meet Lauren.

I have never, ever had the chance to speak with nor understand how a person feels when they know they're going to die.  I've watched my best friend Nancy actually pass away ... and I spoke to each of my parents before they passed ... and with my brother, too.  But none of them knew they would be leaving the earth that soon.  Nancy was definitely dying but she was unaware.  And we worked hard to keep her unknowing.  We felt it was better that way.  I mean, why spread bad news?

But Lauren?  She knows.  And she shares her feelings here quite well.

The disease she has is  Ewing's Sarcoma

Might I add that she's only 16 years old.

Again, I just had to post this ... and reread it and reread it myself.
